The house productions from My Cat Snoop have been earning spins by everyone from Marco Carola to Nic Fanciulli. The UK producer has already released on labels like Toolroom and Dirtybird, and on Friday, he returns to Jamie Jones’ spinoff Hottrax label with his Synchronise EP. Today, we’re previewing the featured cut “Rekids,” a groovy, pulsing slice of hypnotic, tech-infused funk.
“I was messing around with different synth parameters one day, and that mega lead just suddenly came out,” My Cat Snoop says of the edgier cut featured on his new EP.
“The rest of the track practically wrote itself from that point on, although getting the arrangement just right was by far the longest bit and took absolutely ages—worth the wait, though!”
